Centre d'Études Diplomatiques et Stratégiques CEDS

Créé en 1998, le PhD in international relations and diplomacy offre aux diplomates et cadres supérieurs une formation dense et de haut niveau en diplomatie et relations internationale comprenant une année d'enseignement et de séminaires, suivis d'un délai maximal de trois années pour le dépôt et la défense d'une thèse sous la direction d'un professeur du Centre. Il s'agit du programme phare ayant permis l'accréditation birtannique ASIC  et ouvrant la possibilité d'une co-tutelle avec Anglia Ruskin University, pour les six meilleurs candidats sélectionnés au terme de la première année. La prochaine session débute le 3 mai 2012. 

Grâce à l'accréditation de niveau Premier College octroyées par l'ASIC, le CEDS a conclu, en mai 2011, un accord de partenariat avec Anglia Ruskin Univesity, en vue de l'échange d'étudiants, de la co-tutelle des  thèses de PhD et de la reconnaissance mutuelle des parcours.

Le C.E.D.S.  vient, depuis le 23 février 2011, d'être accrédité à l'ASIC (Accreditation Service for International College), et classé comme Premier College. L'ASIC est l'organisme d'accréditation d'un grand nombre d'universités et établissements d'enseignement supérieur britanniques.
Cette accréditation fait suite à celle du  Ph.D. du C.E.D.S.  par le Collège Européen d'Accréditation des Universités et des Grandes Ecoles (E.A.B.H.E.S : European Accreditation Board of Higher Education Schools) en 2004.

Le C.E.D.S. a signé en mai 2007 une convention de partenariat avec l'Ecole de Guerre prolongeant ainsi le partenariat datant de plusieurs années avec la division B de l'Ecole de Guerre. Les auditeurs du CEDS et notamment du Cycle d'enseignement diplomatique supérieur, participent aux côtés des stagiaires officiers supérieurs de l'Ecole de Guerre à l'exercice coalition et aux conférences et travaux pratiques sur les grandes thématiques en relations internationales. Le dernier exercice a permis aux auditeurs du CEDS d'exercer leur savoir faire diplomatique en temps de guerre.

The fourteenth yearly session of PhD in international relations and diplomacy will start on May, 3, 2012, in order to provide graduating programs in english for diplomats, high ranking civil servants and and high ranking military officers. During the last sessions (from Ukrania to Sudan) were able to exchange their standpoints, cultural and intellectual patterns and experiences. The program includes intensive courses, conferences and workshops in international relations and methodology seminars.  The lectures are provided by experts in diplomacy and international relation among the professors listed in the website.

Adequate knowledge of the constant changing rules of protocol remains a main concern for states, embassies and major institutions. With 25 years of successful experience in training and teaching diplomats from more than a hundred nationalities, and after creating new C.E.D.S. centers in different places worldwide, such as in Athens and Antananarivo, the Center decided to initiate a perfection session titled « PROTOCOL EXPERT » in an aim to address the numerous demands in this specific field.

After having been accredited in 2004 by European Accreditation Board for Higher Education Schools, the CEDS is recently accredited by Accreditation Service for International Colleges (ASIC) on February 2011, next to a successful applicatoin and inspection procedure that granted the institution the level of Premier College, thus recognizing his compliance with the standards of the best higher education colleges in international relations and diplomacy.

CEDS is now partner of Anglia Ruskin University, within the frame of an agreement that grants mutual recognition of curricula and the possibility for a quota of the best CEDS auditors to benefit from co-tutellas by the second year of PhD studies.
