STAGES ET PROGRAMMES DE PERFECTIONNEMENT
Le Centre d'Études Diplomatiques et Stratégiques organise à la demande des gouvernements, des missions diplomatiques ou des entreprises, des stages de perfectionnement. Ainsi, en 2002-2003 le C.E.D.S. a mis sur pied des programmes spécifiques de perfectionnement pour les missions diplomatiques basées au Caire (Egypte de mai à juillet 2002), à Kingstone (Jamaïque - du 2 au 13 juin 2003), ainsi que pour la Haute Fonction Publique Malgache à Antananarivo.
Dans le souci d'adapter soigneusement le contenu de l'enseignement au profil des auditeurs concernés et aux objectifs des autorités interessées, chaque stage fait l'objet d'une étude spécifique.
L'Administrateur général du C.E.D.S. après étude du nombre virtuel des stagiaires, de leur disponibilité et de leur formation antérieure, soumet un projet pédagogique préalable à toute mise en route du stage.
Les enseignants des stages sont choisis parmi les professeurs du Centre ainsi que parmi les universitaires et les praticiens dont l'expérience et les connaissances sont du plus haut niveau.
Ces stages sont organisés tant en France qu'à l'étranger. Dans ce dernier cas, le Centre gère le déplacement et l'hébergement des professeurs en accord avec l'autorité ayant demandé l'organisation du stage.
Le coût des stages de perfectionnement est en fonction du lieu d'organisation, de la durée et du nombre des personnes concernées.
Les thèmes d'intervention sont pédagogiquement soit généraux (avec pour objectif l'étude des grands enjeux des relations internationales contemporaines) soit spécialisés thématiquement (approche diplomatique, juridique ou économique et financière) ou géographiquement (analyse spécifiquement axée sur un continent ou une région).
Les stages sont sanctionnés, pour les auditeurs, par la délivrance d'un Brevet de spécialisation.
Plusieurs gouvernements, de la République Tchèque à la République Dominicaine, en passant par la République du Niger et Haïti ont d'ores et déjà chargé le Centre d'assurer les séminaires de perfectionnement de leurs cadres.

PERFECTING PROGRAMS AND CONFERENCES
The Center of Diplomatic and Strategic Studies (C.E.D.S.) organizes, upon the request of governments, diplomatic missions or enterprises, Perfection Training Programs. In 2002-2003, C.E.D.S. concluded specific perfection programs for diplomatic missions based in Cairo (Egypt, from May to July 2002), in Kingston (Jamaica, from 2 to 13 June 2003), as well as for senior public officials in Antananarivo (Madagascar).
In an aim to tailor the content of the program to the profile of the participants concerned as well as to the objectives of the authorities involved, each training program is reviewed and considered on a particular basis.
In view of the number of participants, their schedule and their professional background, the Director General of C.E.D.S. accordingly sets up a pedagogic program ready for presentation.
The professors assigned in the training program are among those from the C.E.D.S. teaching staff, in addition to academics and professionals recognized for their high level of knowledge and expertise.
The training programs may be organized in France or elsewhere abroad. In the latter case, C.E.D.S. would look after the aspects concerning the travel and accommodation of the professors in agreement with the authority requesting the program.
The cost of the Perfection Programs would be considered in view of the place, duration, and the number of participants involved.
The lecture themes of the Program may be either general (with the objective of treating major challenges of contemporary International Relations), specific (diplomatic, juridical, or economic and financial approaches), or geographical (particular analyses based on a certain continent or region).
Following the training program, the participants are honored with a Certificate of Proficiency.
Several countries, as far from the Czech Republic to Dominican Republic and from the Republic of Niger to Haiti, have already requested C.E.D.S. to organize Perfection Seminars for their officials.
Since september 2009, CEDS provides a Bachelor level program for officiers coming from Gulf countries, within the frame of a joint graduating program with the French military college (Ecole Militaire Supérieure - Saint Cyr Coetquidan)
